Japan (Tokyo) Trip ~ Fourth Day // Tsukiji Fish market, Meguro River, Meiji Shrine and Hachiko Statue at Shibuya, Tokyo Tower

Off to Tsukiji Fish market for sister's sashimi today.

As you can see, it's pretty sunny, and it's actually getting a bit warm. The air's still cool, but you don't feel very cold anymore.

Some mosque temple thing?

The entrance // Walking through the market.

Searching for any shops that has space available as they're all pretty much the same, and went into this shop.

Had this for breakfast! Sashimi with rice at the bottom, accompanied with tofu as appetiser and hot tea.

The shop is located on the 2nd floor (rooftop), and overseas the market below!

Giant fish head. Has no idea what it is. Tuna/Salmon?

Sis was fascinated by this, where they directly flame the...whatever that is.

More pictures.

We came across this fishmonger selling many strips of dried squid. This is one box. And this is the only place where you can get so much for the same price you can get anywhere else.

Sis tried this oyster thing @_@ I didn't try.

Ehh I think it was here where we bought all those tea packets, because we tried a sample and it was really good. The locals said the tea here is awesome, and they also told us about the sakura blooming at Meguro River, which we'll check out later.

Exiting the market. Hahaha not much commentary for that except that it's just another sightseeing experience and for the breakfast there. Personally I think the main thing to go for Tsukiji Fish Market is the local Tuna auctions, which takes place in the wee hours of the morning (3am -5am). So only if you're staying nearby, and you are really able to wake up early, you can head down there and places are limited too. From what I read on the internet, they'll either give you an orange or green vest, and you can come inside and watch the auctions. Supposedly the auctions are interesting enough that many people will flock down and watch? To me it's just people selling fishes off, and the air must be stinky and wet too @_@

On our way to see sakura at meguro!

This describes our relationship there every day perfectly.

There's the beautiful sakura! Just a couple stops away from Meiji Shrine.

I actually took a snapchat video walking down the road with sakura looming over us. Very beautiful.

Heading back to the station after sakura viewing.

Underneath the station.

We bought a lot of huge tea packets and those things are heavy, so we started using lockers at the train stations to dump our stuff there to make travelling easier.

I forgot where I took this from hahaha

Arrived at Shibuya. Omgomgomgomg one of the places where Owari no Seraph takes place in~

Otw to Meiji Shrine!

I forgot if you must bow once before this big gate first, or the smaller gate inside before you enter the shrine. Later when inside the shrine, just like visiting the temple, you also have to cleanse your hands and drink the water at the purification fountain before making your way inside to toss the coin and get your fortune telling.

Their crows here are HUGE. Size of chickens here.

So huge until their "caws" are very low too, unlike crows here who screech like anything.

Beautiful tree inside the shrine.

Sis bought one of these for us to share and write our wishes down.

We passed by a souvenir shop, and got sakura flavoured ice cream there! The ice cream is really good, as the sakura flavour is fragrant.

Off to get crepessssssssssssss

Look at the crepes *.*

I got. Custard caramel cheesecake (I think? The name is so long I can't remember XD)

That's my sister's at the left.

As usual, we had to stand aside and finish eating our crepes before moving on.

Some cool looking glass building.

Passed by a random sakura park XD

This is how I literally look like each day. Whatever clothes I wear doesn't matter cuz it's all covered up with my outer coat and legging pants XD

Finally another normal picture.

Moving on...

Getting closer to the famous Shibuya crossing...

THERE IT IS.

THE FAMOUS.

SHIBUYA. CROSSING.

Did you see the Starbucks window, a couple pictures above where there's a huge birthday cake? That's the Starbucks window below. It is normally a tradition when you're at Shibuya, to go up to Starbucks and sit at the window, as it has the best spot to overlook the whole Shibuya crossing. I remember my cousin going up there once and posted an instagram picture of her drinking coffee there. I remembered I was so jealous seeing that picture, but now I'm not envious anymore because I was actually there myself ;w;

Omgomgomg Hachiko statue!! With random bunny there. My sister thought that it was inconsiderate of the person to leave his bunny there, because people would be unable to take a proper picture, but to me it's just simply cute XD

There was a "sequel" to Hachiko statue by the way, recently released. It can be found at some university in Shibuya area. That state reveals Hachiko reuniting with his owner, now that they've both passed away ;_; upon seeing the statue, it moved my heart so much I cried the first time.

Looking for Karaoke to spend the afternoon away before we head to Tokyo Tower at night~

1) Magnet. Both of us duet and got top 5 in Tokyo XD 48th position in the whole of Japan.

2) VOiCE. I sang this and got top 2 in Tokyo. Not many people sang this though, so it's not a very well known Vocaloid song and it's a pity because it's really nice.

3) Nisoku Hoshou (two breaths walking). I can't remember which of us sang this (not supposed to be a duet here), but we got top 4.

4)Reboot. Both of us duet and we got top 3~ Again, not many people know and sung this, which surprised me because the original video got quite a lot of views on youtube.

5) Mine, yours. Literally only 2 people sang this in the whole of Japan XD And I beat the other person. Oh god, such a pity. This beautiful song is too unknown. One of my first Luka songs.

6) Winter Alice. Ahhh another unknown song >.< I got top 3 in Tokyo.

7) Answer. GAH why are the songs I'm singing all not popular >.< I got top 1 though.

8) Rolling girl. Ah, finally I'm singing a more popular song. Got top 10.

I don't know how they judge our singing. By pitch? Correct timing? Correct words? Have no idea, but I'm really surprised both my sister and I managed to get nearly 100% each time, even though we're not native Japanese speakers.

The karaoke lounge. I'm glad we went to this Karaoke though. By far, it's the best Karaoke place I've been, because the rooms are comfy (the sofas are on the floor and the TV is right in front of you), you get to compete with other people.

It was dark when we got out. Time to go to Tokyo Tower.

Again, I have no idea why my camera gets all glowy at night.

A last look at Shibuya before we departed. Beautiful city at night.

Another locker HAHAHAHAHA

THERE IT IS. THE BEAUTIFUL TOKYO TOWER.

Sakura trees lining the roads, where many people gathered with picnic items to watch the sakura and drink sake at night.

I mimicked those professional photographers with their cameras and took the sakura trees with the Tokyo Tower, copying their angle too XDDDD

Tokyo Tower from bottom up.

Here we go~

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Sis already looks so bored cuz she's been here before.

See that ferris wheel and bridge at the right?! You can see Yoshinoya from here!!

Some paper string display.

Ahh I think there's a One Piece area further above Tokyo Tower, but we just paid to see on the normal observation deck.

Decided to have ramen for dinner at Tokyo Tower itself.

Again they're using one of those machines where you insert money, choose what you want and it'll slot out a ticket for you to redeem at the stalls. I believe it's quite common to see in their middle/high school cafeterias too, if you don't have your own lunch box.

Ehh both of us chose pork bone based soup (Tonkotsu) broth. I had char siew, with seaweed, egg, spring onion, and black fungi pieces. With a bottle of Oolong tea. Sis also ordered additional chicken pieces.

Not bad. Didn't managed to fulfill my dream of eating at those really traditional Japanese ramen places though, where you sit at those tables, and you order, and the chef acknowledges the order, kind of like that ramen stall in Naruto XDDDDDD Ah wells, 'least I get to eat ramen in Japan itself. Here we just ate at the food court.

After eating, we went to buy our Tokyo banana as well as other snacks. Yes, this is where we bought the majority of our souvenirs, at Tokyo Tower. Has some significance I guess.

Ahhh one last look at the Tokyo Tower ;-; will miss you.

Sis and I had planned to shop at Matsumoto Kiyoshi (One of Japan's largest drugstore chains) that night, but we were too tired and it's getting late. So we just stopped by at this smaller drugstore for sis to search for cotton pads, and we pushed our drugstore shopping till tomorrow.
